Native Eye is proud to collaborate with a number of New Zealand artists to create our Native Eye Kits. We think it's important to support homegrown talent and give artists this additional platform to get their work recognised.

We are looking for up and coming artists and illustrators who want to collaborate with us, so if you're an artist trying to break through, or you know of someone whose artwork showcases all things New Zealand, we would love to hear from you.

Alissa May is a Wellington based freelance artist. She studied design and photography at Massey University, graduating in 2013.

Alissa is intrigued with anything and everything colour and design! She loves experimenting with different styles and mediums of art and exploring colour pallets, and believes that colour plays such an influential role in our lives, directly affecting our mood and interpretations of what we see.

Her project’s usually begin with a colour pallet in mind. They are hand drawn, often starting on paper before taking them on to her iPad and playing around until a final piece is produced.

Since graduating Alissa has travelled and lived overseas, worked in various areas of design and has sold her work online and at art markets.
